But how expensive are the areas of online marketing, e-commerce, technology and social media in Germany? In cooperation with Semrush we present the most expensive tech and marketing keywords on Google of the past month. The results for March 2019.
Despite the big competition from Facebook, for many companies Google is still the most relevant marketing platform. If you place your ads on top of Google, you’ll usually get a lot of attention.
In return, the responsible marketing managers sometimes have to dig deep into their pockets to land in the first position.
Particularly hard-fought are the paid front placements at Google in the areas of online marketing, social media, technology and e-commerce.
The most expensive Google keywords in March 2019
But which search queries are Google ads especially expensive for? We’ll tell you. In cooperation with the marketing tool provider Semrush, we present to you each month the average of ten most expensive Google keywords from the four sectors mentioned above for the German Google search.
These are the results for March 2019.
The 10 most expensive online marketing keywords
Compared with February, prices for Google keywords have dropped in March in all categories reviewed.
The most expensive search term among the marketing keywords is “Adwords optimization” with costs of 34.94 euros. In second place follows “Online CRM System” with 29.68 euros before “CRM support” with 28.73 euros.

The 10 most expensive social media keywords
With a one-month exception in January, the social media sector is on the decline in terms of costs. And even in March, there was again a decline in the top position by at least two euros.
The most expensive keyword with a price of 14.07 euros was “Facebook Analytics Tool”. The podium will be completed by “B2B Social Media” (13.71 euros) and “Media Metrics” (13.39 euros).

The 10 most expensive technology keywords
A tight race for the month’s most expensive Google keyword comes periodically in the marketing and technology space. Although it is extremely scarce in March. But “security cloud computing” comes only at a cost of 34.14 euros – and thus the second overall place.
In second and third place followed in the tech category “Business Intelligence Wiki” (23,85 euros) and the comparison “Business Intelligence vs Business Analytics” (19,71 euros). However, these two terms level off on average across all examined Google keywords.

The 10 most expensive ecommerce keywords
Although ecommerce keywords have become more favorable in the front month than in the previous month, there is a slight increase in prices within the top ten. This is especially true for the first four placements.
For “Adwords Agency” in March 2019 at least 26.48 euros were due. For “Magento Agency” marketers paid on average 25.45 euros. The third place in the e-commerce ranking goes to “Typo3 agency” with a cost of 24.45 euros.
