But how expensive are the areas of online marketing, e-commerce, technology and social media in Germany? In cooperation with Semrush we present the most expensive Google keywords of the tech industry of the past month. The results for January 2019.
Despite the big competition from Facebook, for many companies Google is still the most relevant marketing platform. If you place your ads on top of Google, you’ll usually get a lot of attention.
In return, the responsible marketing managers sometimes have to dig deep into their pockets to land in the first position.
Particularly hard-fought are the paid front placements at Google in the areas of online marketing, social media, technology and e-commerce.
The most expensive Google keywords in January 2019
But which search queries are Google ads especially expensive for? We’ll tell you. In cooperation with the marketing tool provider Semrush, we present to you each month the average of ten most expensive Google keywords from the four sectors mentioned above for the German Google search.
These are the results for January 2019.
The 10 most expensive online marketing keywords
Like almost all categories examined, the online marketing sector has also become a little more expensive at the start of the new year. The most expensive search term is “Adwords Agency” with a cost of 31.33 euros.
In second place follows “Adwords optimization” with 29.78 euros before “Email Marketing Software” with 26.49 euros. This costs the entire podium compared to the previous month five euros more.

The 10 most expensive social media keywords
Contrary to the trend of the past half year, the social media sector has become significantly more expensive for the first time. In the top position, there is even an increase of almost 50 percent compared to December.
The most expensive keyword with a price of € 29.66 was “Social Media Monitoring Agency”. The podium is completed by “Free Monitoring Tools” (22.21 Euro) and “Social Media Monitoring Provider” (19.49 Euro).

The 10 most expensive technology keywords
By far the most expensive tech keyword in January 2019 comes from the technology sector. With a record value of € 50.10, “Cloud Service Broker” clearly ranks first in the category across all categories.
In second and third place are “Cloud Computing Sever” (22.89 euros) and “Hybrid Cloud” (20.08 euros). However, these two terms level off on average across all examined Google keywords.

The 10 most expensive ecommerce keywords
Compared to the previous month, the e-commerce category is the only one that has become cheaper in almost all positions in the Google ranking.
For “Typo3 agency” in January 2019 only 25.26 euros were due. For “Magento Agency” marketers paid on average 23.35 euros and thus almost three euros less than in December. The third place in the e-commerce ranking goes to “Shopware agency” with costs of 18.64 euros.
